PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA OOUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Wednesday, February <br />24, 1988 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Steve DeLuca <br />Councilmember Al Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />Community Develounent Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />C~Lr, TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:41 p.m. <br />and led in the Pleage of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Wilbur Dorn- City Attorney for Ham Lake - Stated that as a result of <br />CORONA's discussions regarding street improvement projects, Senator Danl <br />introduced Senate Bill 18-62 to amend State Statute Chapter 444 to allow <br />establishing taxing districts for street improvements. Representative <br />Larsen is requesting input from Ramseybefore he makes a decision to co- <br />sponsor the bill. Mr. Dorn noted that this legislation is supported by the <br />League of Minnesota Cities. <br /> <br />Dave Bawden - Requested that CityCouncil give consideration to adopting an <br />ordinance that would restrict the issuance of charitable gambling licenses <br />to organizations that are based in Ramsey and that utilize the proceeds for <br />Ramsey's benefit. <br /> <br />A~PPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox to <br />approve the agenda withthe following adaitions: <br /> <br />Case #10: Review status of Ramsey's proposal to Anoka County <br /> regarding theRumRiver Bridge Crossing. <br /> <br />Case #11: Request for metes and bounds subdivision; case of Bladholm <br /> and Tiller Corporations (Commercial Asphalt). <br /> <br />City Council/February 24, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 3 of 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
