Since the acreage increase, there <br />have not been any problems. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg agreed that decreasing acreage requirements would <br />result in problems again. <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca stated that allowing horses on smaller lots will most <br />likely result in complaints from neighbors, especially since there are no <br />guarantees that the keeper of the horses will take proper care of the <br />horses. <br /> <br />Proposed Policy For Use Of The Ramsey Municipal Center: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley presented a proposed resolution to establish a policy relating <br />to the use of Ramsey Municipal Center. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />adopt Resolution #88-49 setting a policy for the use of the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution 988-49). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Hartley reviewed particular points of the <br />resolution. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />Case #10: Letter Of Intent To Maintain Or Improve Building Code <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that a number of businessmen in the community have <br />expressed concern with the quality and type of development the City has <br />been permitting. They would like some assurance that if they expand and <br />improve their businesses, the City will maintain or improve upon building <br />code requirements as they relate to quality of construction. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />approve a letter of intent to maintain or improve upon building code <br />requirements and quality of construction within the City of Ramsey's <br />commercial/industrial areas and to authorize the Mayor to sign said letter <br />on behalf of the City Council. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />Case ~11: Receive Bids For The _Operation And Maintenance Of. The <br /> Sanitary Sewer And Water Systems Service Project #88-2: <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka distributed copies of the two bids for the <br />maintenance of the sanitary sewer and water systems in Ramsey.
