Councilmember Strommen stated wider latitude on the fencing materials needs to be determined. <br /> <br />Councihnember Pearson stated years ago the law was when you stood on your property and faced <br />your neighbor's property, half of the fence to your right belonged to you and the other half to <br />your neighbor's right belonged to him. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec indicated he was in Brooklyn Center when they went through the fence ordinance. <br />They determined a common chain link fence could be put on the property line if both property <br />owners agreed. The problem is with the maintenance and upkeep of wood fences.
