CITY COUNCIL
CITY OF RAMSEY
ANOKA COUNTY
STATE OF MINNESOTA

The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at the
Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota.

Members Present:

Mayor Thomas Gamec
Councilmember Todd Cook
Councilmember David Elvig
Councihnember Patti Kurak
Councilmember A1 Pearson
Councilmember Sarah Strommen
Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman

Also Present:

City Administrator James E. It will be an opportunity to learn more about the commuter rail and
help support getting the North Star Corridor through the legislature. In his opinion this is
a very important thing for the City of Ramsey and the area along Highway 10. It will give
the City a gTeat opportunity to get downtown and for the people to come up this way. The
corridor is currently scheduled to run between Big Lake and downtown Minneapolis. The
support of the local residents in the area is needed.
On behalf of the Council and the City of Ramsey he would like to thank Mike McDowall
of the Engineering Department and Aaron Madsen of the Public Works Department for
their help with the fire on County Road Five last Thursday. He would also like to thank
the Police Department for their quick response. Water was brought to the area right
away, as there was not any available in the area. Quite a few of the new townhomes
under construction were able to be saved. All the work and fast action is appreciated.
The Ramsey Town Center agenda item is being canceled from tonight's agenda.

City Council/February 10, 2004
