I. Chapter 4, Section 4.04 - The Commission accepted Mr. Dorn's recommendation to change the first sentence of this section to read: 'The Council may by resolution order any special or advisory election deemed appropriate by the Council, for any reason, and provide all means for holding it.' The Commission also accepted Mr. Dorn's recommendation to delete the last sentence in Section 4.04. J. Cha~ter 4, Section 4.05.04 - The Commission accepted Mr. Dorn's recommendation to reword the last sentence as follows: 'In the case of a tie vote of the Council, the Mayor, or Acting Mayor if the office of Mayor be vacant, shall make the appointment from the candidates involved in the tie vote.' C~. a~ter 5, Section 5.07 - The Commission accepted Mr. Dorn's recommendation to delete the last two sentences and replace with the following: 'If a majority of the voters voting thereon vote for the ordinance contained in the petition, it shall take effect immediately upon-certification of the election results by the City Council.' L. Chapter 6, Section 6.03 - Commission action regarding Section 6.03 is as follows: Substitute Section 6.03 with wording contained in Lino Lakes Charter Section 6.03 and replacing all references to 'ordinance' with 'resolution'. Strike Sections 6.03.01 through 6.03.22 in the Ramsey charter draft. Commissioner Gamec dismissed himself from the meeting at this time. Motion by Commissioner Sieber and seconded by Commissioner Bauerkemper for a recess. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Heitman, Commissioners Sieber, Data, Buchanan, Lichter, Bauerkemper and Greenberg. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Gamec and Titterud. Charter Commission recessed at 10:15 p.m. Chairman Heitman called the special meeting back to order at 10:37 p.m. M. Cha2t~ 8 - The Commission reviewed Mr. Dorn's proposed Chapter 8.
