<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #15-02-035 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND ORDERING PUBLIC <br />HEARING FOR JARVIS STREET RECONSTRUCTION AND RAILROAD CROSSING <br />QUIET ZONE IMPROVEMENTS; CITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #15-20 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted January 27, 2014, a <br />Feasibility Report was prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed improvements to <br />th <br />the section of Jarvis Street between Highway 10 and 165 Avenue mutually shared between the <br />City of Elk River and the City of Ramsey including reconstructing Jarvis Street with concrete curb <br />and gutter, driveway culverts, railroad crossing quiet zone improvements, and other appurtenant <br />work as needed; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the <br />cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and in accordance with <br />the City Charter; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the City Council received the Feasibility Report on February 10, 2015; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the Feasibility Report provides information regarding whether the proposed <br />project is necessary, cost-effective and feasible; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1.The Council will consider the City of Ramsey’s share of the proposed improvements for <br />Jarvis Street in accordance with the Feasibility Report and the assessment of benefiting <br />properties for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota <br />Statues, Chapter 429, and in accordance with the City Charter, at an estimated total cost <br />of $920,305.50. <br /> <br />th <br /> <br />2.A Public Hearing will be held on such improvements on the 24 day of February, 2015 in <br />the Council Chambers of City Hall at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and <br />published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> Councilmember Williams <br /> <br /> <br />
