Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #15-02-035 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND ORDERING PUBLIC HEARING FOR JARVIS STREET RECONSTRUCTION AND RAILROAD CROSSING QUIET ZONE IMPROVEMENTS; CITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #15-20 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted January 27, 2014, a Feasibility Report was prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed improvements to th the section of Jarvis Street between Highway 10 and 165 Avenue mutually shared between the City of Elk River and the City of Ramsey including reconstructing Jarvis Street with concrete curb and gutter, driveway culverts, railroad crossing quiet zone improvements, and other appurtenant work as needed; and WHEREAS, benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and in accordance with the City Charter; and WHEREAS, the City Council received the Feasibility Report on February 10, 2015; and WHEREAS, the Feasibility Report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost-effective and feasible; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1.The Council will consider the City of Ramsey’s share of the proposed improvements for Jarvis Street in accordance with the Feasibility Report and the assessment of benefiting properties for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statues, Chapter 429, and in accordance with the City Charter, at an estimated total cost of $920,305.50. th 2.A Public Hearing will be held on such improvements on the 24 day of February, 2015 in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Strommen Councilmember Riley Councilmember Johns Councilmember Kuzma Councilmember LeTourneau Councilmember Shryock Councilmember Williams
