<br />Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #15-02-049 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT FOR <br />JARVIS STREET RECONSTRUCTION AND RAILROAD CROSSING <br />QUIET ZONE IMPROVEMENTS, <br />CITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #15-20 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted January 27, 2015, a <br />Feasibility Report was prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed improvements to <br />th <br />Jarvis Street between Highway 10 and 165 Avenue, including the reconstruction of streets <br />including the construction of concrete curb and gutter and drainage conveyances, the construction <br />of railroad crossing quiet zone improvements, and other necessary appurtenant work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted February 10, 2015, the <br />Feasibility Report was received and accepted, and a Public Hearing was ordered for February 24, <br />2015 at 7 p.m., where the City Council will consider the proposed improvements for said streets <br />in accordance with the Feasibility Report; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the <br />cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the City Clerk gave mailed and published notice of such hearing and <br />improvements as required by law; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1.Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective and feasible as detailed in the Feasibility <br />Report accepted by Council on February 10, 2015. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, benefiting properties shall be assessed for <br />all or a portion of the cost of the improvements, which have an estimated total cost of <br />$920,305. <br /> <br /> <br />3.The City Engineer is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement, and the <br />engineer is ordered to prepare a Cooperative Agreement for partnering with the City of <br />Elk River for the making of such improvements. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
