Maximum Points <br />Maximum Points <br />for Substantial <br />Community Designation / Household Growthfor New <br />Rehabilitation / <br />Construction <br />Preservation <br />Communities with no Allocation of Affordable Housing <br />050 <br />Need <br />Communities in the Diversified Rural / Rural Residential / <br /> <br />1040 <br />Agricultural community designations with an Allocation of <br />Affordable Housing Need greater than 0 <br />If households forecast to be added in the decade (2010- <br /> <br />1535 <br />2020) are 10% or less of 2020 households <br />If households forecast to be added in the decade (2010- <br />2525 <br />2020) are 10-15% of 2020 households <br />If households forecast to be added in the decade (2010- <br /> <br />3020 <br />2020) are 15-20% of 2020 households <br />If households forecast to be added in the decade (2010- <br /> <br />3515 <br />2020) are 20% or more of 2020 households <br />Faster-growing communities will have a larger relative share of the possible 50 points attributable to <br />their efforts in new construction while older communities with more aginghousing would have a greater <br />relative share of the possible 50 points attributable to efforts in substantial rehabilitation and <br />preservation. <br />New Construction of Affordable or Mixed-Income Housing <br />The following points will be awarded based on activities over the previous 10 years and for up to 10 <br />affordable and/or mixed-income new construction housing projects: <br />New units affordable to households at or below 30% of Area Median Income (AMI)1.5 points each <br />New units affordable to households earning between31% and 50% of AMI0.5 point each <br />0.25 point each <br />New units affordable to households earning between 51% and 80% of AMI <br />New owner-occupied units affordable to households earning between 81% and <br />0.15 point each <br />115% of AMI <br />New units produced in the previous year that represent at least 10% of the <br />10 points <br />negotiated Livable Communities Act goal for new affordable housing <br />New units produced in the decade that are on track for meeting the decade’s <br />negotiated Livable Communities Act goal for new affordable housing (e.g., 40% of 10 points <br />the goal produced after Year 4 of the decade) <br />Each project with at least 2% local contribution to Total Development Cost (TDC)3 points each <br />Page - 50|METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br /> <br />
