5.06: Review and Respond to the Metropolitan Council Regional Housing Policy Plan <br /> <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br /> <br />Community Development Director Gladhill presented the Staff Report stating the Metropolitan <br />Council was in the process of updating Regional System Plans (Water Resources, Transportation, <br />Parks, Housing). The Metropolitan Council has released the Regional Housing Policy Plan for <br />public comment. The Housing Policy was an important <br />goals and initiatives. This policy document will serve as the policy document for many of the <br />housing resources available to our residents and our community. Most notably, this is an important <br />document that frames the Livable Communities Program, a voluntary program that Ramsey <br />participates in that provides valuable financial resources to assist Ramsey in achieving its land use <br />d <br />recommended the Planning Commission adopt the draft response. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Brauer, seconded by Commissioner Maul, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt the draft response to the Housing Policy Plan. <br /> <br />Further discussion <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer wanted to see equity between communities in the northern and southern <br />suburbs. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Brauer, Maul, Bauer, Nosan, <br />and VanScoy. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
