Resolution #84-190 dated September 10, 1984 approving plans and <br />specifications and ordering advertisement for bids (well and pump house). <br /> <br />Councilmember Schlueter referred to item #28 and stated that there are two <br />mistakes in that resolution: <br /> <br />1. Date at end of resolution is incorrect. <br /> <br />m <br /> <br />As reflected in minutes of the meeting, Councilmember Schlueter <br />opposed this resolution and the published version shows <br />Councilmember Schlueter voting in favor of. <br /> <br />STAFF <br /> <br />Council noted the following.' <br /> <br />a. City Administrator <br />b. Building Official <br />c. City Assessor <br />d. Chief of Police <br />e. City Engineer <br /> <br />Mr. Berg~ referred to the requirement that pumpers locate wells and septic <br />systems while on pumping jobs and stated that persons having their systems <br />pumped are very much opposed to their systems being located; they are under <br />the impression that the City is looking for systems that are not in <br />compliance as a way of forcing in city sewer and water. <br /> <br />Representatives of Ace, A-1 and Dan's were present and reaffirmed Mr. <br />Berg's statements and added that the public feels the pumper, by writing <br />down this system information, is violating their right to privacy. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner <br />to place a moratorium on this particular ordinance requirement (locating <br />wells and septic systems) and that Councilmember Schlueter research the <br />problem and report back to Council. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Berg stated that the pumpers should continue to <br />keep an inventory of systems being pumped. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
