Council unanimously consented to dispense with the reading of the <br />proposed resolution. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Van <br />Wagner to adopt Resolution #84-213 receiving and accepting bids on <br />pump house and to award the bid to A & K Construction, Inc. (Please <br />refer to resolution file for Resolution ~84-213). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />Reimann and Van Wagner. Voting No: Councilmember Schlueter. <br /> <br />Case #2: Landfill (A. Third Quarter Water Monitoring Report; B. <br /> Landfill Grounds Inspection Report For August 1984; C. <br /> MPCA's Letter Dated August 30, 1984): <br /> <br />a) Third Quarter Water Monitoring Report - <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Waagner inquired regarding amount of zinc in Well <br />#1. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated he would check this out again with Bob <br />Hutchison at the County. Mr. Raatikka stated that the County is also <br />adding a Well #9, trying to identify leachate around Well #8 and will <br />continue to do extensive testing. Waste Management is supposed to <br />come up with a method of deeper aquifer testing. <br /> <br />b) August 1984 Landfill Grounds Inspection Report - <br /> <br />Council noted. <br /> <br />c) MPCA's Letter Dated August 30, 1984 - <br /> <br />Council noted MPCA's letter regarding priority list among releases or <br />threatened releases of hazardous waste. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained that it is a list of landfills with a potential <br />for problems and rated in order of priority for funding. This list <br />will be reviewed quarterly; the lower the site is scored, the higher <br />the priority is. <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Wagner inquired if Ramsey's site is on the list <br />because of Well #8. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated that he would find out why Ramsey is <br />included on the list. <br /> <br />Case #3: Drainage Problem At 162nd Avenue NW and Zirconium Street NW; <br /> Case Of Mr. Delano Skeim: <br /> <br />Mr. Skeim was present and stated that there has been drainage problems <br />because of two culverts installed in roadway that drain neighboring <br />lots and flow into this particular lot. Mr. Skeim offered to the <br />City, before going to Korea, a drainage easement but nothing was done. <br />Mr. Skeim stated that he has now installed a dry well and prior to <br /> <br />Page 4 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
