The Commission reviewed a map of the area and discussed what residents were told the land <br />would be used for when they bought their homes. <br />Motion by Commissioner Bauer, seconded by Commissioner VanScoy, to close the public <br />hearing. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Bauer, VanScoy, Brauer, <br />Maul, and Nosan. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br />Chairperson Levine closed the public hearing closed at 8:04 p.m. <br />Discussion took place regarding the pond; possible rezoning; the need for consistent zoning; and, <br />avoiding re -zoning in a piecemeal fashion. <br />Commission Business <br />Motion by Commissioner VanScoy, seconded by Commissioner Maul, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt Ordinance #15-01. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners VanScoy, Maul, Brauer, and <br />Nosan. Voting No: Commissioner Bauer. Absent: None. <br />Commission Bauer indicated he voted against based on wanting to re -zone the entire area. <br />5.03: Public Hearing: Consider Approvals Related to Site Plan Review of Casey's General <br />Store: <br />1. Conditional Use Permit (Sign Plan) <br />Public Hearing <br />Chairperson Levine called the public hearing to order at 8:12 p.m. <br />Presentation <br />Community Development Director Gladhill presented the staff report stating the purpose of this <br />case is to forward a recommendation to the City Council regarding a proposed Casey's General <br />Store development at the southwest intersection of Ramsey Boulevard and Sunwood Drive in the <br />COR. This is a city -owned property and the city has entered into a purchase agreement. Staff is <br />comfortable with the access location, location of the trash receptacles, fencing and signage <br />location and size.
