Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #15-02-046 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND SCOPE <br />FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY BOARD <br />WHEREAS, the primary objective of the Environmental Policy Board is to review, <br />consider, initiate and recommend to City Council such policies, plans or projects that will enhance <br />and preserve the natural environment of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Environmental Policy Board's scope includes, but is not necessarily <br />limited to, matters of the preservation of the community forest, water quality, wetland preservation, <br />ground water protection, ecological preservation, control of soil erosion and air, noise and light <br />pollution; and <br />WHEREAS, the Environmental Policy Board has developed a Statement of Purpose and <br />Scope and has recommended approval by the City Council. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby approves the Environmental Policy <br />Board's Statement of Purpose and Scope as attached. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 24th day of February, 2015. <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />
