Mayor Gamec stated that it is obvious that this Committee's thinking is headed <br />in the same direction as the City's, to make the program more self sustaining. <br />Mayor Gamec brought up the subject of ballfield scheduling. <br /> <br />Mr. Kelsey replied that scheduling of fields is best handled at the district <br />level. <br /> <br />Council consensus is that City Staff and Park Commission follow up on this <br />scheduling issue. <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann noted another recommendation of the Committee as being <br />that the Community School Education Coordinator will attend Ramsey Park Board <br />meetings, providing minutes, mailings and agendas, in order to promote better <br />communication between the Community Education Program and the City and <br />eliminate duplications of efforts. <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann suggested that this committee, or another appointed <br />committee, review the program in 3 - 4 years to make sure it is kept up to <br />date. <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann added that he was pleased with the information he gained <br />while serving on this Committee. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to accept the <br />report prepared by the Community Education Ad Hoc Committee and to proceed to <br />implement recommendations made in that report. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
