Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #15-03-085 RESOLUTION TO HIRE A PERMIT TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT AND A PARKS MAINTENANCE WORKER WHEREAS, as per the adopted strategic plan, staff conducted a recruitment for a part- time Permit Technician Assistant and a full-time Parks Maintenance Worker; and WHEREAS, internal and external recruitment processes were conducted; and WHEREAS , Ms. Ellen Krueger was selected as the top candidate for the Permit Technician Assistant position and Mr. Evan Johnson was selected as the top candidate for the Parks Maintenance Worker; and WHEREAS, staff has completed the necessary background checks and is recommending that Ms. Ellen Krueger be hired as a part-time Permit Technician Assistant and Mr. Evan Johnson be hired as a full-time Parks Maintenance Worker; and WHEREAS , Ms. Ellen Krueger and Mr. Evan Johnson will be subject to the City’s Personnel Policy and/or union contracts. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: Motion to adopt resolution #15-03-085 to do the following: 1) To hire Ms. Ellen Krueger as a part-time Permit Technician Assistant, effective on or near March 25, 2015, at $19.37 per hour which is step 1 of the 2015 wage scale. 1)To hire Mr. Evan Johnson as a full-time Parks Maintenance Worker, effective on or near April 8, 2015, at $21.12 per hour which is step 2 of the 2015 wage scale and a credit of five vacation days, and The motion for the adoption of the `foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Williams, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Strommen Councilmember LeTourneau Councilmember Williams Councilmember Johns Councilmember Kuzma Councilmember Riley Councilmember Shryock Resolution #15-03-085 Page 2 of 2
