CASE #3 <br /> <br /> 1993 BUSINESS EXPO <br />By: James Gromberg, Project Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />A tentative date for the 1993 Business Expo will be an off-weekend for the Minnesota Vikings. I <br />believe these dates to be September 26 or October 17, 1993. The event will be held at Ramsey <br />Elementary School from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The City will be contracting with CEI for <br />booth rentals. Current projections show the booth rental will be $75 each, the same as in the past <br />two years. We also need someone to volunteer as chairperson to oversee planning for the event. <br />The chairperson will also need to attend a City Council meeting to request funding in the amount of <br />$2,000 for the 1993 Business Expo. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends Commissioner Kent to chair this event, as he functioned quite effectively in <br />1992. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Set a tentative schedule for the 1993 Business Expo. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Project Manager <br /> <br />EDC:06/23/93 <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br /> <br />
