Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #15-04-095 RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS AND COST ESTIMATE AND AWARDING A CONTRACT TO CONNEXUS ENERGY FOR RIVERDALE DRIVE LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS; IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 15-22 WHEREAS, on March 26, 2015, Connexus Energy submitted preliminary plans and cost estimate in the amount of $170,347.70 for street and pedestrian facility lighting improvements for Riverdale Drive between Armstrong Boulevard and Traproick Street; and WHEREAS, Connexus Eneregy is the sole vendor available to the City of Ramsey for constructing and maintaining lighting improvements for this segment of Riverdale Drive and their preliminary plans and cost estimate shall be and hereby is accepted. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1)The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Connexus Energy for the construction and maintenance of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. 2)The City agrees to pay Connexus Energy for all costs associated with the installation and ongoing maintenance of said lighting improvements at such time that a contract has been executed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Shryock, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Strommen Councilmember LeTourneau Councilmember Shyrock Councilmember Johns Councilmember Kuzma Councilmember Riley Councilmember Williams and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None
