A discussion ensued to formulate an employmem offer for Steven Jankowski based on thc <br />$41.(XX) that the City budgeted for a City Engineer position and comments made by Mr. <br />.}ankowski in meetings with David Hanley and Kay McAtoncv. It was noted thai Mr. <br />Jankowski's current salaD.' is similar to what the City has budgeted for the City Engineer <br />position and those present discussed items that could be added to the employmem offer <br />compensate for no significant increa~ge in s',.daD.' from what he is currently eannnf_. <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca expressed concern that the technical skills will equal the <br />administrative skills demonstrated by Mr..lankowwki dunng the inter~,iew. <br /> <br />Mr. Hattie,?' replied that lVu'..lanko,a sk~ s credentials and references support that he does <br />have the technical expertise. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to authorize offering <br />the position of'City Engineer to Steven lankowski with the offer for employment to include <br />the following: an annual salary of $42.000 and gl,ID0() for moving expenses or 5;41,200 <br />and $1,800 for moving expenses; the authority to utilize the City Engineer vehicle for <br />professional and personal transportation; the permission to accomplish a 40 hour work <br />week in 4 days until his existing home in Wisconsin is sold andhis £amily is relocated ~o <br />Ramsey; and reimbursement for expenses incurred to attend job interviews at the City of <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None.
