CASE <br /> <br /> 1993 BUSINESS EXPO <br />By: David Kent, Chairperson <br />1993 Business EXPO Committee <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The 1993 Business EXPO has been scheduled for October 17, 1993 at the Ramsey Elementary <br />School. Prior to 1991 the Economic Development Company sponsored the Business EXPO. This <br />year, as in 1991 and 1992, the Economic Development Commission will be sponsoring and <br />conducting the EXPO. The EXPO gives local businesses the opportunity to meet residents and <br />show the services they provide. <br /> <br />The Economic Development Commission is requesting the donation of $2,000 from the City of <br />Ramsey. These funds will be used for advertising and promoting the EXPO. The remaining <br />balance will be returned to the City Council. Last year the amount returned was over $950.00 of <br />the $2,000 received. <br /> <br />The 1992 EXPO was attended by over 1,200 people. Over 50 booths were sponSored by local <br />businesses. Booth rental will again be $75.00. This year additional entertainment and different <br />types of food will also be provided. <br /> <br />All funds received, including booth rentals, will be channeled through the Anoka Area Chamber of <br />Commerce. Purchases will be approved by both Economic Development Chairperson Kent and <br />Project Manager Gromberg. <br /> <br />City Councilmembers should plan to attend this event, as the residents enjoy meeting the local <br />elected representatives. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Resolution g93-07- <br />the 1993 Business EXPO. <br /> <br />appropriating Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000) for <br /> <br />Reviewed By: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />Project Manager <br />Finance Officer <br />Business EXPO Chairperson <br /> <br />FC: 07/27/93 <br /> <br /> <br />
