CASE <br /> <br />REVIEW 1994 PROPOSED ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY BUDGET <br /> ~ By: Jessie L. Hart, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At the November 9, 1993 regular City Council meeting, it was agreed that the salary of the project <br />manager be allocated in a different manner. The original budget had included 100% of this salary <br />in the EDA budget beginning in 1994. Staff was instructed to revise the EDA budget by allocating <br />a portion of the project managers salary to the Landfill Activity Fund for recycling duties, and a <br />portion the General Fund for code enforcement. Additionally, it was requested that a portion of the <br />City Adminislrator, Finance Officer and Zoning Administrator also be allocated to the EDA budget. <br /> <br />The attached budget worksheets reflect the following changes: <br /> <br />Salary Allocations: <br /> Project Manager <br /> <br />15% to General Fund for coded enforcement <br />20% to Landfill Activity Fund for recycling <br />65% to EDA for economic development activities <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />90% -Go General-Fund for planning and zoning <br />10% to FDA for economic development activities <br /> <br />Finance Officer <br /> <br />88% to General Fund for financial management <br />10% to utility funds for financial management <br /> 2% to EDA for financial management <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />90% to General Fund for general administration <br />10% to F, DA for economic development activities <br /> <br />With the above allocations, the total proposed expenditures for the EDA are now $101,922 <br />compared to $102,200 in the original proposal. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Recommend approval to the FDA of the budget as presented. <br /> <br />Reviewed By: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />Finance Officer <br /> <br />FC: 11/23/93 <br /> <br /> <br />
