CASE #1:

PARK & RECREATION COMMISSION VACANCY
By: Mark Boos, Parks/Utilities Coordinator

Background:

As you recall, earlier this year the Commission accepted the resignation of Commissioner
Prall. A Commission vacancy was announced via Cable TV, the Community Billboard and
the Ramsey Resident Newsletter.

One resident expressed an interest in the position. Ms. Teresa Henn's request for
consideration is attached.

At the regular meeting in April, Staff inquired if the Commission felt it would be of benefit
to have some standardized or prepared questions for prospective commissioners. The
consensus of the Commission was that an impromptu format suited the Commission's
needs. Ms. Henn will be available at the meeting for this exchange of views.

Commission Action:

Motion to recommend that City Council appoint Teresa Henn to the Park & Recreation
Commission.

Reviewed by:

Parks/Utilities Coordinator

Copies also distributed to:
Personnel Coordinator

P&R: 05/i3/93
