Case #3

ADOPT REVISED TRAIL PLAN
By: Mark Boos, Parks/Utilities Coordinator

Background:

To a certain extent the trail alignments and the location of proposed parks remain in flux due to
developing land use patterns and unique opportunities presented. However, it remains important
to maintain a current projection of the City's needs to appraise all of the City's intentions/desires
and to provide staff with information to effectively guide planning and development within the
Community.

For your meeting, Staff will prepare a 1993 proposed trail plan. This will differ little from the
1991 plan but will clarify alignments, given recent developments in Ramsey, and most importantly
address priorities with regard to which side or sides a trail should be along State Highway//47.

Recommendation:

Upon discussion and possible revision, staff recommends that City Council adopt the revised wail
plan.

Commission Action:

Motion to recommend City Council adopt the revised trail plan.

Reviewed by:

Parks/Utilities Coordinator

P&R: 9/8/93
