Feb. 1,1gg'5

To: Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission

Whom it May Concern:

As I am unable to attend the hearing on Feb. 2,1993 concernin~
a conditional use permit amendment to allow the disassembly of
engines and transmissions by Daniel Karst of danny's Alum. I for-
ward this letter to .you in my place.

Mr. Karst has stated to me that he has had and is still having a
very difficult time conducting his business within this same area
he now wants to add more into. In the past Mr. Karst has not
operated within the existing use permit for this location and be
is still not doing so with loading or unloading within his perimeters
of materials and of the dross which when dumped into the trucks
creates a large cloud of dust that is carried by the wind in what
ever direction it maybe blowing.. Also the street is still not
being policed of metal or wood pieces. A sample of this I have
submitted with this letter. It is a gear sector which was laving
in the center of the intersection of Basalt and 141 st. in plain
sight of everyoue for 2½ days before I picked it up.

Because of past history and what is still being projected I can
not at this time support the request for permit amendment.

Sincerly,

AH-SO-COMPANY
14021 Basalt St. N.W.
Ramsey, Minn. 55303
