PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, <br />December 1, 1992 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Paul Holland <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Bradley Thomd <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Terry Hendriksen <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the regular Planning and Zoning Commission meeting to order <br />at 7:31 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Holland to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Holland, <br />LaDue, Terry and Thom& Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Hendriksen. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Review Ramsey Meadows Preliminary Plat <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City <br />Council approved the preliminary plat of Ramsey Meadows subdivision contingent upon <br />DNR approval. DNR denied the request to fill approximately 6,000 square feet of a <br />protected wetland to facilitate the street layout for this plat. He then presented Caine & <br />Associates' sketches with alternatives to this layout. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Thorud to recommend <br />that the developer revise the preliminary plat such that 149th Lane N.W. will be replaced <br />with two non-connecting cul-de-sac streets to avoid impact to the wetland. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners LaDue, Thorud, <br />Holland and Terry. Voting No: Commissioner Deemer.
