CASE #: 7 1993 RAMSEY CLEAl\-lJP DAY B~': James GromDerg, Project Manager Background: The City Staff is currently plannmg the 1993 Ramsey Ciean-up Day Activines. ThI~ year~ activities are planned to be somewhat expanded as this is the final year for the tr.iditional Ramse: Clean-up Da~'. The general program will be as follows: 1) Each resident is allowed to take one covered load to the Anoka Regional Sanitary Landfill. 21 Residents will be charged a fee for each tire. :; I Residents will be charged a fee for each appliance. The fees for these materials has not yet been set as I will be meeting with the landfill personnel in the near future to figure out prices. The City will also be seeking to allow residents additional loads at a reduced price to allow for the maxImum amount of clean-up this year. 1993 Clean-up Day has been tentatively scheduled for May 8. 1993. Volunteers will be available to issue Clean-up Day permits, free. at City Hall during the Environmental EXPO which is proposed to be held on Saturday May 1. 1993. Permits would also be available after 5:00 p.rr:. until l:.;:OO p.m. the Friday before Clean-up Day, Permits wil1 be sold on Clean-up Day for 2 price to be determined. The City will provide rOT roadside clean-uD by 10:a] community service giOupS (":-H Clubs. Bay Scouts. Girl Scouts. et:.) based upon rhe sections of roadway adopted by the different groups. After discussions with the landfill personnel. the prices will be ser and City Staff v,'ill be requesting funding for the 1993 Clean-up Day.
