Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #93-02- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION PETITIONING THE COUNTY OF ANOKA TO CONDUCT THE <br />ENGINEERING STUDIES TO DETERMINE NEED FOR RIGHT TURN LANE <br />AT COUNTY ROAD #57 AND U.S. HIGHWAY #10 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it would appear that a considerable number of southbound County Road <br />#57 vehicles make a right turn westbound onto U.S. Highway #10; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this is a signalized intersection, and a dedicated right turn lane and island <br />similar to that which currently exists on the southeastern corner of the intersection, could reduce <br />the delay time and greatly improve the ease of this maneuver. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That City Council hereby petitions the County of Anoka to conduct the necessary <br />engineering studies to determine the degree of need for said right turn lane and to prepare <br />estimates determining the feasibility of the necessary land acquisition and construction and <br />to advise the City of the results hereof. <br /> <br />2) That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the County Engineer. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 9th day of February, 1993. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
