§ 5.06 Conduct in Public Parks <br /> <br />Leave a picnic area before the fire is completely extinguished and <br />before all trash in the nature of boxes,papers, cans, bottles, <br />garbage and other refuse is placed in the disposal receptacles <br />where provided. If no such trash receptacles are available, then <br />refuse and trash shall be carried away from the park area by the <br />picnicker to be properly disposed of elsewhere. <br /> <br />5.06.12 Camping. No person in a park shall camp, nor set up tents, shacks, <br />or any other temporary shelter for the purpose of overnight camping in any place <br />except as such place may be designated specifically for camping; nor, except as <br />may be designated, leave in a park after closing hours any movable structure or <br />special vehicle to be used or that could be used for such purpose, such as house <br />trailer, camp trailer, camp wagon, or the like. <br /> <br />5.06.13 Games. No person in a park shall take part in or abet the playing of <br />any games involving thrown or otherwise propelled objects such as balls, stones, <br />arrows, javelins, or model airplanes, except in areas set apart for such forms of <br />recreation. The playing of rough or comparatively dangerous games such as <br />football or baseball is prohibited except on the fields and courts or areas provided <br />therefor. Roller skating shall be confined to those areas specifically designated for <br />such pastime. <br /> <br />5.06.14 Horseback riding. No person in a park shall ride a horse except on <br />designated bridle trails. Horses shall be thoroughly broken and properly <br />restrained and ridden with due care, ~-nd shall not be allowed to graze or go <br />unattended, nor shall they be hitched to any rock, tree or shrub. <br /> <br />5.06.15 Alcoholic beverage~ <br /> <br /> Subdivlsionl. No person shall bring, have in his possession, or <br />consume alcoholic beverages at any time in any park, except as provided in <br />Subsection 2. <br /> <br /> SubcL2~ Consumption of non-intoxicating alcoholic beverages is <br />permitted in parks if purchased from a person licensed to sell in such park, <br />pursuant to the provisions of City Code §7.51. Ail sales shall be individual drinks <br />and shall be served for consumption on the license premises. <br /> <br />5.06.16 Fireworks and explosives. No person in a park shall bring or have in <br />his possession, or set off or otherwise cause to explode or discharge or burn, any <br />firecrackers, torpedoes, rockets, or other fireworks or explosives of inflammable <br />material, or discharge them or throw them into any such area from land or <br />highway adjacent thereto; nor an), substance, compound, mixture, or article that <br />in conjunction with any other substance, compound, mixture, or article that in <br />conjunction with any other substance or compound would be dangerous from any <br />of the foregoing standpoints, unless licensed by the city council pursuant to <br />Minnesota Statutes Chapter 624. <br /> <br />Page 98 <br /> <br />Printed 12/28/90 <br /> <br /> <br />
