CASE <br /> <br />ADOPT ORDINANCE TO REPEAL THE RURAL BUSINESS DISTRICT AND <br />REZONE RURAL BUSINESS PROPERTIES TO B-1 BUSINESS <br /> By: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On March 9, City Council introduced an ordinance to eliminate the Rural Business District and <br />rezone Rural Business properties Io B-1 Business. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />As you know, recent amendments to the B-1 Business District included merging the Rural <br />Business District into it. As a follow up, we need to rezone the Rural Business properties to B-1 <br />Business and eliminate the Rural Business designation from City Code. <br /> <br />The proposed ordinance is enclosed for your review. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff and the Planning and Zoning Commission recommend adoption of the ordinance at this <br />time. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Adopt Ordinance #93-X to rezone Rural Business properties to B-1 Business and to <br />eliminate the definition of Rural Business and the Rural Business District from City Code <br />and City Zoning Map. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />CC: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />City Attorney <br />Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />3/23/93 <br /> <br /> <br />
