Councilmember introduced thc £oltowing resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION $$93-04- RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REPLACEMENT VEHICLES THE CAPITAL PURCHASE TWO SQUADS AS WHEREAS, at the Council's Finance Comminec meeting of March 23, 1993, Staff presented a request for the purchase of two new squads lo replace thc Ciiy's current vehicle numbers S-3 (1990 Ford Crown Victoria) and S-4 (1990 Ford Crown Victoria - unmarked); and WHEREAS, the total purchase price including modifications as required will be the sum of Twenty- Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-three and No/100 Dollars ($29,943) plus thc first year replacement funding of Fourteen Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-two Dollars ($14,972) for a total funding of Forty-Four Thousand Nine Hundred Fifteen and No/100 Dollars ($44,915) required; and WHEREAS, the sum of Twenty-Four Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-three and No/100 Dollars ($24,633) is available in the City's Equipment Replacement Fund toward this purchase; and WHEREAS, the two squads being replaced will be sold with proceeds estimated at Five Thousand Two Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($5,200); and WHEREAS, the Finance Committee approved this recommendation and hereby recommends that Ramsey City Council authorize the purchase and funding sources as detailed within this resolution. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) 2) 3) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes thc capital purchase of two new squads for a total funding requirement of $44,915.00. That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the transfer of funds from the City's Equipment Replacement Fund to the General Fund as detailed within this resolution. That the Ramsey City Council hereby directs thc Finance Officer to credit the City's General Fund for proceeds received from the resale of City's current vehicle numbers S-3 and S-4. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 13th day of April, 1993.
