CASE #1 <br /> <br />PARK, <br /> <br />LAND USE AND TRANSPORTATION JOINT PLANNING <br />By: Ryan Schroeder, City Administrator, Ramsey <br /> and Mark Nagel, City Manager, Anoka <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />It is cost effective to conduct joint efforts between cities. Of course we're all aware that <br />cities have been working closely together for a long time, However, them are always areas <br />wherein we can improve. <br /> <br />One area which the City of Ramsey is very interested is the Enterprise Industrial Park and <br />Gateway North Industrial Park, the proposed land uses of each and the impact on the <br />McKinley Street extension of any of,the above. Bob Kirchner will update both Councils <br />on the City's choice of a consultant to do a land use plan of the Anoka Enterprise Park. <br /> <br />You are all aware that recently we submitted a joint application for trailway funding from <br />the Minnesota Department of Transportation. This had previously been submitted in 1992 <br />but did not receive funding. Butch Brandenburg and Mark Boos will give an update of <br />efforts to date. <br /> <br />There is a separate case in this agenda suggesting a discussion about a joint public works <br />facility. <br /> <br />This meeting will provide an opportunity for both Councils to project a time line for any <br />decisions and suggestions as to what those decisions may be. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Based upon discussion. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />City Adminislrator - Ram~ey <br />City Manager- Anoka <br /> <br />Joint CC: 05/06/93 <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br /> <br />
