CASE <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF <br />UNDERSTANDING WITH THE CITY OF ANOKA; <br /> CASE OF CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> By: Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At the March 8, 2004 joint City Council meeting between Ramsey and Anoka, one of the <br />issues discussed was a joint planning agreement regarding transportation corridors. Such <br />an agreement would establish a commitment on .the part of both cities to coordinate for <br />the planning of the Highway #10 corridor. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />Anoka drafted a Memorandum of Understanding and it sent to Ramsey City Staff for <br />review. Assistant Public Works Director Brian Olson suggested that the agreement also <br />include Hwy. #47 and County Road #116 (Bunker Lake Blvd.) Anoka made the <br />requested changes and adopted the Memorandum of Understanding.. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends approval to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with <br />Anoka. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember and seconded by Councilmember to <br />enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Anoka to coordinate <br />planning for transportation corridors within the boundaries of both cities. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />Asst.
