CASE#: 15 <br /> <br /> AMENDMENTS TO THE TOWN CENTER ZONING DISTRICT REGARDING FRONT YARD <br /> SETBACKS AND DRIVEWWAY LENGTHS <br /> By: Patrick Trudgeon, AICP, <br /> Assistant Community Development Director <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Staff has brought forward language to the Town Center Zoning District to clarify how the front yard setback <br />is measured, to allow for a greater front yard setback for certain types of attached residential units, and <br />requiring 25-foot long driveways for all residential units unless certain criteria are met. <br /> <br />It should be noted that all of the proposed amendments are consistent with what the Planning Commission <br />and City Council preliminary approved as part of Ramsey Town Center 2na Addition. <br /> <br />The following items are enclosed: <br /> <br />a) Proposed Ordinance to amend Town Center Zoning District <br /> <br />Notification: <br /> <br />A public hearing on these amendments was properly notified in accordance with state statutes and held at <br />the March 11, 2003 Planning Commission. No public comments were received. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The City Council reviewed and introduced the attached amendments to the Town Center Zoning District at <br />their March 23, 2004 meeting. Under the City Charter, the ordinance is now eligible for adoption. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends adoption of the ordinance amending setback regulations to the Town Center Zoning <br />District. <br /> <br />City Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Ordinance #04-__ amending setback regulations to the Town Center Zoning District. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br />Community Development Director <br />Assistant Public Works Director <br />Associate Planner <br /> <br />CC: 04/13/04 <br /> <br /> <br />
