C^SE # <br /> <br /> ADOPT ORDINANCE FOR STREET NAME CHANGES <br />TO 145TM AVENUE AND 146TM AVENUE WITHIN SUFNISH LAKE ESTATES <br />By: Steve Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />With the platting of the Village of Sunfish Lake it became apparent that the two <br />numbered streets (145th Avenue and 146th Avenue) in the adjacent Sunfish Lake Estates <br />subdivision are not correctly named in accordance with the county street naming grid <br />system. The attached figure illustrates the discrepancy. To correct this situation both of <br />the numbered streets within the Sunfish Lake Estates subdivision should be renamed; <br />145th Avenue to 146a~ Lane, and 146th Avenue to 147th Avenue. Within this subdivision <br />there are no street addresses on 146th Avenue, however, the renaming of 146th Avenue <br />would change the street name of seven existing residences. On March 23, 2004 a public <br />hearing was held and the ordinance was introduced changing the street names. The <br />ordinance is now ready for adoption. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that Council make a motion to adopt Ordinance 04-XX to rename <br />145"' Avenue NW and 146th Avenue NW within the Sunfish Lake Estates subdivision to <br />146th Lane NW and 147th Avenue NW, respectively. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Motion to introduce Ordinance #04-XX to rename 145th Avenue and 146th Avenue within <br />the Sunfish Lake Estates subdivision to 146th Lane and 147th Avenue, respectively. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />Director of Public Works <br />Assistant Public Works Director <br />Street Maintenance Supervisor <br />Community Development Director <br />Police Chief <br />City Attorney <br /> <br />CC: 04/13/04 <br /> <br /> <br />
