Councilmember Strommen: <br />Councihnember Zimmerman: <br />Mayor Gamec: <br /> <br />aye <br />nay <br />aye <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Consider Request for 45-Day Extension to Ramsey Town Center Park <br />Planning Process. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated staff is requesting an additional 45 days to complete the park <br />planning process within the Ramsey Town Center project. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated headway has been made with this planning process; however, he does not <br />want to see this continue on. He would like to see this wrapped up in the 45 days. There are <br />concerns with park fees and development is starting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook stated he agrees, however, this is something that is recommended because <br />there are some concerns. This is as much to the City's advantage as the developer, if not more. <br />He appreciates the headway from the last time this was discussed, and this is getting down to <br />something solid; they need to make sure everything is in order. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to approve the request for <br />an additional 45 days to complete the park planning process within the Ramsey Town Center <br />project. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Kurak, Cook, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerrnan. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: <br /> <br />Introduction of an Ordinance Authorizing the Sale of Lots 1 and 2, Block 2, <br />Gateway North Industrial Park Plat 2, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich explained that the City is currently in negotiation with multiple <br />businesses to acquire and construct projects on Los 1 and 2, Block 2 GATEWAY NORTH <br />iNDUSTRIAL PARK PLAT 2. Once these projects have been finalized it is important to have <br />the ability to convey the properties to the businesses in a prompt manner as not to delay early <br />spring construction. In order to complete these transactions a sale ordinance needs to be <br />introduced and adopted authorizing the sale. <br /> <br />Councihnember Kurak questioned what parcels are being discussed. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon noted this refers to the Chies and Morrell <br />properties. <br /> <br />City Council/March 9, 2004 <br /> Page 13 of 22 <br /> <br /> <br />
