Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #92-06- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT g93-10 (EXTENSION OF SANITARY SEWER AND WATER SERVICE, STREET AND STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS TO RIVER'S BEND 3RD ADDITION) WHEREAS, Resolution #93-05-087 authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project g93-10 (extension of sanitary sewer and water service, street and storm sewer improvements to River's Bend 3rd Addition), bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, the following quotes were received Bidder Annandale Contracting Inland Utility Construction R. P. Utilities, Inc. Bonine Excavating W. B. Miller Mille Lac Contracting, Inc. Volk Water & Sewer, Inc. Northdale Construction Old is Gold Construction Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. Amount of Bid $136,023.76 $140,314.80 $140,458.40 $141,612.62 $143,157.95 $143,442.08 $149,476.04 $150,768.70 $153,865.46 $157,134.00 Engineer's Estimate $129,534.00 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Annandale Contracting is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Annandale Contracting in the name of the City of Ramsey for Project g03-10 (extension of sanitary sewer and water service, street and storm sewer improvements to River's Bend 3rd Addition) in the amount of $136,023.76. 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to remm forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
