CASE # 5 <br />iNTRODUCE PROPOSED ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF 148TH <br /> LANE N.W. & DRAINAGE & UTILITY EASEMENTS IN SUNNY PONDS <br /> ADDITION <br /> By: James Gromberg, Project Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The developer of Ramsey Commons 2nd Addition has requested the City vacate a portion of 148th <br />Lane N.W. and drainage and utility easements that were dedicated in Sunny Ponds Addition. The <br />street will be realigned to allow for connection with the street in Ramsey Commons 2nd Addition. <br />The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on June 1, 1993 to review the proposed <br />vacation and recommended approval. Enclosed for your review is the following information: <br /> <br />1) <br />2) <br />3) <br />4) <br /> <br />Public hearing notice <br />Site location map <br />Properties notified list <br />Proposed ordinance vacating street right of way and drainage easements. <br /> <br />If this proposed ordinance is adopted, the CiD, will request that Anoka County change the City map <br />to reflect the vacation. The City will also provide a certified copy of the ordinance to the property <br />owners who are affected by the vacation. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />The City Staff recommends vacation of the street right of way of 148th Lane N.W. and the <br />drainage and utility easements described as follows: <br /> <br />That part of 148th Lane N.W., as dedicated in the plat of SUNNY PONDS, <br />according to the recorded plat thereof, Anoka County, Minnesota, lying <br />southerly of the following described line: <br /> <br />Commencing at the Northeast comer of Lot 1, Block 2, said SUNNY PONDS; thence on an <br />assumed bearing of West, along the North line of said Lot 1, Block 2, a distance of 48.10 <br />feet; thence Westerly continuing along said North line and along a tangential curve, concave <br />to the South having a radius of 298.29 feet and a central angle of 6 degrees 39 minutes 24 <br />seconds, a distance of 34.65 feet to the point of beginning of the line to be described; thence <br />South 83 degrees 20 minutes 36 seconds West, tangent to said curve, a distance of 77.16 <br />feet, to the intersection with the Northerly extension of the West line of said Lot 1, Block 2, <br />and said line there terminating. <br /> <br />DRAINAGE & UTILITY EASEMENTS <br /> <br />All of the drainage and utility easements lying within Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 1, and Lot 1, <br />Block 2, all in the plat of SUNNY PONDS, according to the recorded plat thereof, Anoka <br />County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to introduce Ordinance g93-_ authorizing vacation of street right-of-way of 148th Lane <br />N.W. and the drainage and utility easements dedicated in Sunny Ponds Addition. <br /> <br />//7 <br /> <br /> <br />
