introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION g93-07-, RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT FOR SPACE NEEDS STUDY WHEREAS, at thc Goals meeting of May 12, 1993, Council authorized Staff to contract for a space needs study in an amount not to exceed $20,000 to evaluate the Public Works, Police and Fire facilities; and WHEREAS, Staff received proposals from Bonestroo Rosene Anderlik & Associates, Lindberg Pierce, Inc., BWBR, and Boorman & Associates; and WHEREAS, each of the above named fu-ms has done space needs studies in all of these potential government facilities in other communities and come to the table fully qualified; and WHEREAS, the bids came in as follows: Firm Lindberg Pierce, Inc. Hourly up to $7,500 Up to $500 Up to $8,000 Boatman, Kroos, Plaister Rudin & Associates Hourly up to $9,500 Included Up to $9,500 Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates $9,500 Included $9,500 BWBR Hourly est. @ $11,000 Included Est. @ $11,000 AND WHEREAS, at the Finance Committee meeting of May 25, 1993, the Committee voted to recommend that City Council direct Staff to enter into an agreement with one of the three fn-ms submitting bids for the space needs study at a not-to-exceed amount of $9,500.0~, and WHEREAS, at the City Council meeting of May 25, 1993, Council ratified the recommendation of the Finance Committee and authorized Staff to enter into an agreement with one of the three f'mm submitting bids for the space needs study at a not-m-exceed amount of $9,500.00; and WHEREAS, Council directed that Staff elect which fn'm should perform the space needs study; and WHEREAS, Staff has requested that the study be performed by Boannan Kroos Rudin & Associates. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council authorized Staff to contract for the space needs study in an amount not to exceed $20,000 to evaluate the Public Works, Police and Fire facilities. 2) That Staff solicited bids for the space needs study and all bids came in lower than $20,000.
