Councilmember adoption: imroduced the following resolution and moved for its RESOLUTION g93-06- RESOLUTION APPROVING RECLASSIFICATION AND REQUESTING THAT ANOKA COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS CONVEY THE FOLLOWING FORMALLY TAX FORFEITED PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF RAMSEY FOR OPEN SPACE AND DRAINAGE: P.I.N. 06-32-25-22-0005 WHEREAS, thc Anoka County Board of Commissioners under Chapter 282 of Minnesota Statutes provides for public sale of land situated in Anoka County which is forfeited to the State of Minnesota for nonpayment of taxes; and WHEREAS, the classification and sale of tax forfeit land lying within the bounds of any organized town with a taxable value in excess of $20,000 of an incorporated municipality must be approved by the Council of each City insofar as lands located therein are concerned; and WHEREAS, the town board or governing body will be deemed to have approved classification sale if the County Board is not notified of the disapproval of the classification sale within ninety (90) days of the date requested for approval as transmitted to the town board or governing body; and WHEREAS, if the town board or governing body desires to acquire any parcel lying in the town or municipality by procedures authorized in Section 282.01, it shall, within ninety (90) days of the requested classification and sale, file a written application to the County Board to withhold the parcel from public sale for one year;, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey has acquired PIN 25-32-25-12-0075 for the purpose of a park; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has failed to develop the property within five (5) years of acquisition for stated purpose. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Administrator and Mayor are hereby authorized to sign all documents required to reclassify the property known as PIN 06-23-25-22-0005 for open space and drainage. 2) That the City Administrator is hereby authorized to record and rifle all required documents with regards to the City's acquisition and reclassification of the property known as PIN 06- 32-25-22-0005. 3) That a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to Anoka County. The motion for the adoption of thc foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: /-/7
