Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #93-06- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING PETITION AND CALLING FOR A FEASIBILITY <br />STUDY ON IMPROVEMENT PROJECT g93-13 (BITUMINOUS SURFACING <br />TO 164TH LANE N.W. BETWEEN NOWTHEN BLVD. N.W. (COUNTY ROAD <br />#5) WEST TO ITS TERMINUS) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has received a petition for a feasibility study to consider the <br />improvement of bituminous surfacing to 164th Lane N.W. between Nowthen Blvd. N.W. <br />(County Road #5) west to its terminus; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Administrator has found the petition to be of the correct percentage <br />of lawful signatures of affected property owners; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Adminisu'ator has found the petition to be in accordance with the <br />City Charter and Minnesota Statutes concerning local improvements. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />That a certain petition requesting a feasibility study to consider the improvement of <br />bituminous surfacing to 164th Lane N.W. between Nowthen Blvd. N.W. (County Road <br />#5) west to its terminus has been fried with the City Council on June 22, 1993. The petition <br />is hereby declared to be signed by the required percentage of affected property owners. <br />This declaration is made in conformity to City of Ramsey Code Chapter 4 and Minnesota <br />Statute Chapter 429. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the petition is hereby referred to Steve Jankowski, City Engineer, and he is instructed <br />to prepare a feasibility study to the City Council with all convenient speed advising the <br />Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to <br />the cost of the project to each affected property owner. The City Engineer shall also <br />comment as to whether it should best be done as proposed or in conjunction with some <br />other improvement. <br /> <br />3) That the above mentioned project shall hereby be referred to as Improvement Project <br /> 13. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmembe ~r~ <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: L/ <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br />whereupon said resol~t~on"~s declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 22nd day of June, 1993. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />,5'5 <br /> <br /> <br />
