Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION g93-06- RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #92-14 (BITUMINOUS SURFACING OF WACO STREET N.W. AND WACO DRIVE N.W. FROM 179TH LANE N.W. TO THE NORTHERN CITY BOUNDARY) WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on September 22, 1992, the City Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the bituminous surfacing of Waco Street N.W. and Waco Drive N.W. from 179th Lane N.W. to the northern City boundary and has presented such contract documents and specifications to the Council for approval. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 10 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on July 12, 1993 at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Engineer and Engineer Technician, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 P.M. on July 13, 1993 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and ~ed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 22nd day of June, 1993.
