CASE # 5 REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A HOME OCCUPATION; CASE OF PEGGY FR1TCH By: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik Background: Peggy Fritch of 15141 Oneida Street N.W. has applied for a conditional use permit for a home occupation. Peggy would like to establish and operate a one-chair beauty salon operation in the lower level of her home. The following items are enclosed for your information: a) b) c) d) e) Site location map Site plan and Floor plan Letter from Homeowners Association Proposed findings of fact Proposed conditional use permit Observations: In accordance with the City's regulations for home occupations, the area devoted to the business would not exceed 20% of the total floor area of the home, The employees would be restricted to the residents of the home. The driveway is large enough to provide a sufficient amount of off- street parking for a one-chair operation. Also in accordance with Section 9.11.04 (Home Occupations) of the Ramsey City Code, if granted, the permit would not be transferrable from person to person or property to property. The Homeowners Association for River Bluffs has provided the CiD, with written comments indicating no opposition to the applicant's request. The Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on June 1, 1993 and them were no written or verbal comments submitted relating to Ms. Fritch's request. Recommendation: The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval of the request Council Action: Motion to: Adopt Resolution g93-06- adopting Findings of Fact # home occupation permit at 15141 Oneida Street N.W. relating to a request for a Motion to: Adopt Resolution g93-06-, approving the issuance of a conditional use perrrfit for a home occupation at 15141 Oneida Street N.W.
