CASE # 5 <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A HOME OCCUPATION; <br />CASE OF PEGGY FR1TCH <br /> By: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Peggy Fritch of 15141 Oneida Street N.W. has applied for a conditional use permit for a home <br />occupation. Peggy would like to establish and operate a one-chair beauty salon operation in the <br />lower level of her home. <br /> <br />The following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br />c) <br />d) <br />e) <br /> <br />Site location map <br />Site plan and Floor plan <br />Letter from Homeowners Association <br />Proposed findings of fact <br />Proposed conditional use permit <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />In accordance with the City's regulations for home occupations, the area devoted to the business <br />would not exceed 20% of the total floor area of the home, The employees would be restricted to <br />the residents of the home. The driveway is large enough to provide a sufficient amount of off- <br />street parking for a one-chair operation. <br /> <br />Also in accordance with Section 9.11.04 (Home Occupations) of the Ramsey City Code, if <br />granted, the permit would not be transferrable from person to person or property to property. <br /> <br />The Homeowners Association for River Bluffs has provided the CiD, with written comments <br />indicating no opposition to the applicant's request. <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on June 1, 1993 and them were <br />no written or verbal comments submitted relating to Ms. Fritch's request. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval of the request <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Adopt Resolution g93-06- adopting Findings of Fact # <br />home occupation permit at 15141 Oneida Street N.W. <br /> <br />relating to a request for a <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Adopt Resolution g93-06-, approving the issuance of a conditional use perrrfit for a <br />home occupation at 15141 Oneida Street N.W. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: Zoning Administrator <br />CC: 6/22/93 <br /> <br />3'9 <br /> <br /> <br />
