AND
LAKE DRIVE. N.W.
BY JAMES GROMBERG, PROJECT MANAGER

SUNFISH

Background:

The City of Rarnsey is considering the changing of the name of 153rd Avenue N.W. as it is
currently scheduled to become an arterial roadway across the entire City. With its current
route, it encompasses 153rd Avenue N.W. and 155th Avenue N.W. As a primary cross-
town route, it may be advisable to change the name to reflect this usage. Tonight's public
hearing is to receive input from interested citizens and review the possible names for this
roadway. The City has received the following suggested names for this roadway:

Northfork Drive
Midway Road
Sundance Drive
Sunwood Drive
Mount Ramsey Boulevard
Itasca Parkway

The City is also in the process of developing another roadway which will cross a large
section of the City to the south of the City Hall. This roadway is currently referred to as
Sunfish Lake Drive N.W. This name does lead to some confusion with Sunfish Lake
Blvd. N.W. (County Road #57).
