FROM T.H. #47 TO ITS EASTERN TERMINUS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #93-12 By: Steve Jankowski, City Engineer Background: Prior to this case, a public hearing will be held on the above referenced project which is defined in the attached feasibility study. This feasibility study was prepared in response to a petition for a study of the project, which was accepted by resolution of the Council on July 27, 1993. Following the public hearing, the Council should direct any changes to the feasibility study it deems necessary as a result of the testimony at the public hearing or accept the feasibility study as it has been presented. The feasibility study, as finally accepted, will become the basis for the improvements and their associated financing. If the project, as defined by the feasibility study, is unacceptable to the majority of the parties to be assessed, a petition by those parties presented within 60 days of the public hearing will prevent the Council from considering the project further. If no such petition is received, the Council, at its discretion, may order the project with the initafion of plans and specification preparations. This authorization could occur no earlier than the October 26, I993 Council meeting. Council Action: No action is required unless significant changes to the feasibility study are directed by Council. If significant changes are directed, a revised feasibility study and a resolution accepting the revised study need to be prepared.
