I I CASE # q I I ADOPT PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO SELL LOT 6, BLOCK 2, GORHAM'S SANDY ACRES By: Sylvia Frolik, Zoning Administrator Background: i I I As you know, earlier this year the City Council approved a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project which consists of allocating approximately $17,900 to the Anoka County Community Action Program (ACCAP). The stipulation associated with the allocation was that ACCCAP would use the funds to purchase a lot in the City of Ramsey. ACCCAP would then construct a home on the lot for which a moderate income family would qualify for a home mortgage. The selected parcel on which the home will be developed is Lot 6, Block 2, Gorham's Sandy Acres. Observations: I I I I I On July 27, 1993, the City Council conducted a public hearing and introduced an ordinance authorizing the sale of Lot 6, Block 2, Gorham's Sandy Acres. On August 10, 1993, the City Council tabled adoption of the ordinance authorizing the sale of the property because of possible impacts to area drainage that would be caused by the development of the subject property. After further review, the City Engineer has determined that if 50% of the lot was retained in drainage easement, then the development of the lot should not result in a negative impact to area drainage.
