(COUNTY ROAD #83) <br /> By: Ryan Sehroeder, Cit.,,' Administrator <br /> and .lames Gromberg, Project Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As you are aware, City Staff is curmndy completing plans for the construction of th¢ final l¢g of <br />153rd Avenue N.W, crosstown mr[efial. At this time, City Council should accept quotes and <br />authorize the City to enter into contracts with.~onsultmg firms to provide appraisals for the affected <br />lots and an engineering fm'n to provide the preliminary design work for this section of roadway. <br />Enclosed for your review are the following documents: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br />c) <br />d) <br /> <br />List of costs eligible for MSA funding <br />Appraisal quote from Herman Appraisal Services <br />Quote for preliminary eng/neering work from RLK Associates <br />Time line for the completion of 153rd Avenue N.W. <br />Minutes from June 8, 1993 Finance Commit'tee Meeting <br />Map showing area to be acquired <br /> <br />As you will note, all of the costs for preliminary engineering and appraisal costs of the project are <br />elig/bie for MSA funding. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Cis' Staff recommends that the City continue with the appraisals and preliminary engineering for <br />the completion of 153rd Avenue N.W. ber~veen VariolJte Sn-eet N.W. mad Attain'cng Blvd. N.W. <br />(County Road #83). The appraisals for right-of-way acquisition were approved by the City <br />Council on June 8, 1993. Stuff also recommends that the City acquire all of the property south of <br />the proposed roadway (fundable by MSA funds) and enter into an agreement with RLK for <br />preliminary engineering work. City Staff would like to have fi:ds work (appraisals and pre]iminm-y <br />engineering) completed by June 1994, to allow for budgeting in the 1995-1996 Budget. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Morion to adopt/deny Resolution 4~93-09-XX awarding conm'act for Preliminary Engineering <br />Services and Appraisal Services for 153rd Avenue N.W. between Vm-iolite Street N.W. and <br />Armstrong Blvd. N.W.
