establishments for dinner and entertainment but it requires that
they either trailer their machines a short distance or violate
the current ordinance. It was suggested that the city look at
lifting the ban in the urban area.
Again in line with education, it was recommended that the
police publish information in the newsletter which clearly
defines the term, "right-of-way" and what that means to usage of
boulevards and ditch areas. ~ty concern with this is only that it
not be put ~orth so as to seem to be throwing down the gauntlet
and inviting trouble. While this area is in fact open to
reasonable public use and could be designated as usable by
snowmobiles whether resident~ like it or not, a careless and
blunt approach would not be well accepted.
The comment was made that there are a great many people in
Ramsey who own and operate snowmobiles and that they should
become more vocal to the council as a body and as individuals in
order that the good side of snowmobiling be heard.
I believe that the foregoing pretty well covers what was
discussed at this meeting. ~ am submitting it to the council for
their review. We should now arrange to meet and go over this
document iLo--determine, what, if anything, should be done.

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
