I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br /> <br />ADOPT PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO SELL LOT 6, BLOCK 2, GORHAM'S <br />SANDY ACRES <br /> By: Sylvia Frolik, Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As you know, earlier this year the City Council approved a Community Development Block Grant <br />(CDBG) project which consists of allocating approximately $17,900 to the Anoka County <br />Community Action Program (ACC. AP). The stipulation associated wkh the allocation was that <br />ACCCAP would use the funds to purchase a lot in the City of Ramsey. ACCCAP would then <br />construct a home on the lot for which a moderate income family would qualify for a home <br />mortgage. The selected parcel on which the home is proposed to be developed is Lot 6, Block 2, <br />Gorham's Sandy Acres. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />On July 27, 1993, the City Council conducted a public hearing and inu'oduced an ordinance <br />authorizing the sale of Lot 6, Block 2, Gorhara's Sandy Acres. <br /> <br />On August 10, 1993, the City Council tabled adoption of the ordinance authorizing the sale of the <br />property because of possible impacts to area drainage that would be caused by the development of <br />the subject property. <br /> <br />On August 14, 1993 the City Engineer reported that if 50% of the lot were retained as a drainage <br />easement, then the development of the lot should not result in a negative impact to area drainage. <br />Councilmembers 7_Jmmerman and Beyer were not convinced that development of the lot wouldn't <br />result ha some adverse drainage impacts to the area.
