a) <br /> <br />Temporary or permanent signs erected by a non-profit organization, as defined by Federal <br />Code <br /> <br />b) <br />c) <br /> <br />d) <br /> <br />Signs erected by a governmental unit or public school district. <br />Balloons, streamers, gas filled figures, whirling devices and revolving searchlights used in <br />conjunction with a public event or grand opening for the week of the public event or grand <br />opening only. <br />On-premise constructions signs having a sign area of 80 square feet or less. <br /> <br />Subd. 3 No permit or fee is required under this section for the following signs: <br /> <br />a) A window sign not exceeding thirty percent (30%) of the window area. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />On premise directional/informational signs having a sign area of four (4) square feet or <br />less. <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />Holiday decorations temporarily displayed on traditionally accepted civic, patriotic, or <br />religious holidays. <br /> <br />d) <br /> <br />On premise address or nameplate identification signs having a sign area of 4 square feet or <br />less. <br /> <br />e) <br /> <br />Memorial plaques or tablets, grave markers, statutory, or other remembrances of persons <br />or events that are non-commercial in nature. <br /> <br />Interior Signs which are fully located within the interior of any building or stadium, or <br />within an enclosed lobby or court of any building, or in the lobby or entrance of any theatre <br />which are intended solely for information relating to the interior operation of the building in <br />which they are located. <br /> <br />g) On-premise temporary real estate signs. <br /> <br />h) Garage sate signs. <br /> <br />i) Pennants. <br /> <br />9.12.17 APPLICATION <br /> <br />Subd. 1 <br /> <br />Application for permits shall be made upon forms provided by the Zoning <br />Administrator and shall state or have attached thereto the following information: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />The names, addresses, and telephone numbers of the applicant, the owner of the property <br />on which the sign is to be erected or affixed, the owner of the sign, and the person to be <br />erecting or affixing the sign. <br /> <br />b) Type of sign. <br /> <br />c) Type of construction materials to be used. <br /> <br />d) Location of building, structure or lot to which, or upon which, the sign is to be attached or <br /> <br />Page 16 of 19 <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
