I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #93-10- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY ENGINEER TO REQUEST FROM <br />MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION A TRAFFIC SPEED <br />STUDY ON 167TH AVENUE N.W. BETWEEN T.H. #47 AND COUNTY ROAD <br />#5 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a speed limit study was last conducted for this segment of roadway in <br />1983; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the substantial growth of the City may have substantially altered traffic <br />volumes during that period; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has received a request from citizens adjacent to said roadway to <br />reconsider the speed limit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the State requires a traffic study be performed before setting or changing <br />the speed limits on said roadway. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized to request a traffic study by Mn/DOT on the <br />segment of 167th Avenue N.W. between T.H. #47 and County Road #5 for the purpose of <br />determining appropriate speed limits. <br /> <br />That upon completion of the traffic study, the City Engineer shall report to the Council the <br />findings of Mn/DOT. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council on <br />this 26th day of October, 1993. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
