Parking Areas <br /> <br />¥~oposed are three partdng areas in addition to pull-off parking 'along the park access road. <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />The largest is centratJy located within the re,.,"reafion ama. The 17,000 square foot parking <br />lot will accon-mnodate 60 standard size vehicles. Thc primary destination would be the <br />athletic fielck, play ama and pond. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />This parkin~ faciliD' will be circular with a landscaped center island and will accommodate <br />approximately 35 standard size autos. <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />This parking lot may be constructed in conjunction with the proposed Environmental <br />Education ~E) facility. Ultimately, it will be needed for the above use. However, there <br />will be an overflow aspect due to varied time-related parking demands. The pm-king lot <br />MI1 count as 20 spaces for other recreational destinations besides the EE facility. If it is <br />needed prior to fund availability for thc EE site, the parking area could be graded and Class <br />V g,'-avel applied. This parking lot should accommodate buses. <br /> <br />Urbanization may result in more park users participating in shared rides and sustainable modes of <br />~'avet. in addition, increasing fuel and transportation costs should mean that the proposed 200+ <br />parking spaces will be adequam. The 200 space figure includes "pull-off" or angled parking along <br />the park access road, but does not count bicycle, motorcycle and bus allowances.
